My Approach

My approach is collaborative and psychotherapeutic. We’ll focus on the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that feel difficult or disruptive, and explore how past experiences may be shaping your life now — often outside of your awareness. Together we’ll talk, listen, get curious, and make sense of what’s happening for you with compassion and clarity.

Psycho‑education is woven into my work where it’s helpful. I share psychological ideas in a down‑to‑earth, accessible way because understanding why you feel or react as you do can reduce shame and support meaningful change.

I’m trained in Integrative Transactional Analysis (TA), Towards Dialectic Self, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). These approaches support relational, attachment‑focused work and help us understand how you relate to yourself and others. Before becoming a therapist, I worked full‑time as a trainer, which shapes the way I communicate — clear, grounded, and practical.

Working Together

I work best with people who want to be active participants in their own growth. Therapy is most effective when you’re willing to engage in the process, be curious about yourself, and explore new possibilities. You don’t need to arrive confident or certain — just open to showing up for yourself and taking small steps toward meaningful change.

I’m especially drawn to working with people who are exploring who they are, how they relate to others, and how their past experiences shape their present — including challenges around relationships, self‑worth/esteem/confidence, stress, anxiety, discrimination, and the complexities of family life.

I’m committed to being a resource for you, and if I’m not the right person to help, I will always aim to signpost you to someone.

I challenge convention and stereotypes. I value difference, and I make every effort to truly see people for who they are.

What to Expect

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I don’t take a passive or distant role — we’ll work together to understand what’s happening for you, make sense of your experiences, and explore what meaningful change might look like.

You can expect sessions to feel grounded, thoughtful, and gently challenging at times. I’ll bring curiosity, clarity, and psychological insight, and I’ll invite you to bring your own reflections, questions, and willingness to engage in the process.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to say. What matters most is your openness to exploring yourself, noticing patterns, and trying new ways of thinking or relating. Small steps count.

I’ll offer ideas, perspectives, and wonderings, but I won’t tell you who to be or how to live your life. Instead, we’ll work together to help you understand yourself more deeply and make choices that feel right for you.

My role is to support you, challenge you when it’s useful, and hold a space where you can grow with intention. Your role is to show up for yourself and be willing to engage in the work.
