ONLINE PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING
for people ready to engage, learn, and create meaningful change
Meet Corry
Hi, I’m Corry (Corrine). My nickname comes from my love of Coronation Street and my years supporting and training others in dementia care. I’m an accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor, working with individuals, couples and families who want to understand themselves better and improve their relationships.
As a home educator to my adopted child and adoption/trauma/relationship competent professional, I help people navigate identity, family stories, and life’s everyday chaos. Seeing a gay/lesbian therapist means you can skip explaining the basics of LGBTQ+ life and relax into a space where you won’t be judged.
Therapy with me is human, honest, and thoughtful. My goal is simple: help you feel more like yourself again – with clarity and confidence and hopefully a giggle along the way.
Understanding Yourself and Your Relationships
Relationships can be wonderful but they can also be complicated. The patterns we fall into can leave us feeling stuck, misunderstood or confused, wondering why the same situations keep happening.
You might be trying to make sense of repeating arguments, difficult family dynamics or why certain interactions affect you more deeply than you expect.
You may be exploring your identity or sense of belonging, or reflecting on how experiences such as adoption, rejection, or earlier life events have shaped the way you relate to others.
You’re not the only one feeling this way.
Therapy That Feels Human
You don’t need a diagnosis, a perfect explanation or a plan. My approach is warm, inclusive, and conversational – therapy that feels human, not clinical. No jargon, just authenticity.
Together, we explore your experiences and find new ways forward, whether that’s making sense of the past, improving relationships, or simply having a safe space to be heard. Wherever you’re starting from, we begin there… with curiosity, thoughtfulness, and genuine compassion.
When Life Feels Heavy
Life gets messy. You’re fine… until you’re not. Maybe you’re carrying things you’ve never said out loud. Maybe you’re tired of being the one who holds everything together. Anxiety, past trauma, relationship struggles, or life’s pressures can start to feel overwhelming. Sometimes it helps to pause and take in the world around you. In therapy, I can help you notice what’s happening inside too.
Together, we’ll slow down, without judgment, without pressure, without needing to have it all figured out. You can show up exactly as you are. If this feels familiar, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Where am I?
I see my clients at my therapy room on Newland Avenue in Hull.
