About Me
Hi, I’m Corry – mum, crisp lover (salt & vinegar all the way!), and former amateur snooker player. I cry at live events and giggle at the kind of silly that’s soft and harmless.
I work with people who want to understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and navigate life’s challenges.
I approach my work with curiosity, honesty, and a focus on what’s practical and meaningful in everyday life.
As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I don’t just support you with the challenges you’re facing now. I also help you explore the patterns, thoughts, and past experiences that shape how you feel and behave.
This approach combines practical guidance with deeper understanding, giving you insight into why certain difficulties arise and helping you create meaningful, lasting change.
I became a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor because of both my personal journey and the professional experiences that shaped me. As a lesbian and adopter, I’ve faced – and witnessed others face – discrimination, oppression, and abandonment. Alongside this, I’ve worked personally and professionally as a carer and trainer supporting people with dementia for many years.
These experiences have given me a grounded understanding of resilience, identity, and the complexity of human experience, and a deep appreciation for how people cope, adapt, and grow.
I help people grow and I’m particularly interested in supporting people with:
Self-esteem, identity, and confidence-building
Self-awareness, stress, anxiety, and life transitions
Adoption and family relationships
Dementia and caregiving challenges
Discrimination, prejudice, and social injustice
LGBTQ+ experiences
Improving communication in relationships, both for individuals and couples
I value honesty, openness, and real connection. I challenge, and welcome being challenged, always responding with respect.
What inspires me most is seeing people recognise their own worth, navigate complex experiences, and discover their capacity for growth.
If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you – whether it’s a question, a conversation, or exploring working together. Drop me an email to get in touch.
